Arranging an appointment

If you are facing an issue that you would like a psychologist’s help with, talk to your GP. Your doctor will do an initial assessment to determine the appropriateness of a psychologist referral.

If you have private health insurance that covers psychology services or if you are prepared to pay the full fee yourself, then a GP Medicare referral is not needed and you can book the appointment right away.
